⚠️ Important Note for iPhone Users

  1. iPhone Users: Safari automatically clears website data after 7 days of non-use. Add this app to your Home Screen to protect your data—installed apps use dedicated, permanent storage so your saved lists are never automatically deleted.
  2. How to add this app to your Home Screen: Tap the share button in Safari, then select Add to Home Screen to install.

🚀 Core Features

  1. Quickly Add Items: Hit the Quick Pick Menu button to view pre-configured Grocery item tags and Daily Task tags. Any custom created categories will be viewable at the bottom.
  2. Easy --Daily List-- Creation: Quickly type and add personal items using keyboard entry and hitting Enter or the Add Item button. Speech-to-text works on mobile devices.
  3. Custom Category Creation: Add a New Custom Category and your own custom item tags to use whenever you like.
  4. Visual Progress Tracking: Click any active task to instantly cross it off, providing a clear visual overview of your completed milestones. Or, hit the delete button to delete the task from the --Daily List--.
  5. Auto-Save Functionality: Automatically backs up your tasks so they persist securely when refreshing or restarting your browser.

📖 Quick Start Guide - How to Use the Tool

  1. Add item to list... : Click/Tap the Quick Pick Menu button to add preconfigured items to your --Daily List--. You can also enter items in the [Add personal items to list...] input box. Type your item and hit the Enter key or the Add Item button.
  2. Close the Quick Pick Menu: Once you are finished with the Quick Pick Menu categories and your custom categories, just hit the Close Quick Pick Menu button to hide the container from view.
  3. Custom Category Creation: Move your cursor into the [Custom Category (e.g. Exercises)...] input box. Type the name of your New Category and submit.
  4. Delete Custom Tags or Category: You can delete custom tags or entire custom categories using the designated deletion controls.
  5. Complete a --Daily List-- task: Click/tap directly on the text of any active item in the list to cross it out.
  6. Delete a --Daily List-- item: Click/tap the hit the delete button on the right side to remove it.
  7. Clean View Modal: Click Clean View for a simplified mobile-friendly task view.

🔒 Privacy & Storage

Your items, lists and custom categories are processed entirely on your device using secure local browser storage (localStorage and localForage). No personal task descriptions or private metrics are ever shared with external servers.

Important Note: If you use this app in Incognito or Private Browsing mode, some browsers (such as Safari) may restrict or automatically wipe your saved data when the window is closed. For continuous data persistence across sessions, please use a standard browser window. Also note that because the task manager uses (localStorage and localForage), custom categories, item lists, and your --Daily List-- are all device specific.
